Diploma in Nutrition & Health
This Royal Society for Public Health qualification is designed to provide an in depth knowledge in the practical application of the principles of nutrition and healthy eating. It is a level 4 qualification suitable for healthcare professions including nurses and those working in residential homes, the hospitality, sport, leisure, health and beauty industries and the food industry production, distribution & catering.
Pre-course entry requirements
All candidates must hold the Certificate in Nutrition and Health or be educated to a similar level in the subject.
Dates and times
The course will be available both as a daytime course and an evening course. It covers a 36 week term time based period. and is also available as a modular home study course.
Examination and assessment
At the end of the course there are two exam papers lasting 5 hours in total and 2 assignments that must be successfully completed to receive the award. Successful candidates will receive a certificate upon which the grade awarded will be shown.
Fees:
Course fees will be £450 inc the examination fee
The fee can be paid in two instalments. £225 at the start of the course and a further
£225 at week 17.

As with all Nutritrain Southwest courses it is delivered in a fun and informal way, helping people to identify ways of making dietary and lifestyle changes that can be of immense benefit to their own health and wellbeing and that of others.
Files and handouts are provided and there will be tastings and samples of healthy foods during the course.

Distance Learning
This course is now available as distance learning study with attendance at the Nutritrain Southwest centre in Weymouth for the two examinations which are held 4 times per year.
It consists of 15 home study modules with assignments.
