The Dorn Method – Better Back and Joint Care

    What is The Dorn Method?

It  is a gentle and very effective treatment for common back and joint pain and was developed in Germany over 35 years ago.

It is used to correct misalignments of the spine and other jints treating many common problems such as :

    *Back pain

    *neck pain

    *headaches and migraines

*hip, knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle , jaw problems

    *leg length diffference

    *sciatica

Dorn is extremely safe and involves no clicking or crunching of joints. It works with both the therapist and patient working together to provide maximum benefit.

Dorn Method also teaches some simple exercises to help you keep your back and joint in shape after your treatment.

    Dorn Method Treatment

During the Dorn Method treatment you work together with the therapist at all times. Treatment begins with a leg length comparison check; a high percentage of people suffering from back pain show a leg length difference often due to poor leg seating in the hip joint.

Therapist Garry Andrews will then make simple, safe corrections as necessary.

To help prevent future problems from reoccurring you will also be shown how to do simple leg length corrections for yourself at home.

Next your pelvis is checked for any misalignment, followed by lumbar, thoracic (spinal column) and cervical vertebrae (neck) checks. Any imbalances or vertebrae found out of place are corrected as necessary using very gentle and safe techniques.

All corrections take place in a dynamic way. This simply means you work together with the therapist , Garry, by moving the joint being corrected. In doing so the muscles are distracted causing joints to slip back into place. It is this technique that makes The Dorn Method so effective and successful.
