    Counselling

My aim and my commitment is to support individuals, couples, families and communities through changes and crises in their lives, their relationships and their environment.

The foundation of my practice is based on the Person Centred aspect of the Humanistic model which promotes and supports the natural abilities of a person to find the right solution to their difficulties

Furthermore I studied and gained experience over the years with other models which I now integrate as I feel appropriate at given times. For example I use aspects of the Cognitive Behavioural Approach with people suffering from a high level of anxiety or in the first stages of Recovery. Alternatively I would use aspects of the Psychodynamic Model with couples who are struggling with unconscious negative patterns of behaviour or the Systemic Approach with families. Regularly I use skills from Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Psychosynthesis models; I work with an understanding of Jungian and Attachment theory.

This is what makes me an integrative therapist.

Following the holistic approach, I help people restore balance and harmony between aspects of themselves and with their environment; as a qualified Yoga teacher and Ayurveda massage therapist I help people become more aware of the relationship between their body, their mind, their emotions and their Spirit; I utilise a blend of mainstream and alternative skills to help people heal back into wholeness.

I have worked in many settings, including thePrioryHospital,Southamptonover the past 3 years as a family therapist for the Addiction and Eating Disorder Departments. I have worked for family charities, in prison settings, rehabilitation centres and with communities. Currently I work from home, and through health centres such as Light and Energy Centre inWeymouth(www.lightandenergycentre.co.uk). I also work for charity trusts and community centres. My aim and my commitment as a therapist is to support individuals, couples and families through changes and crises in their lives and their relationships.

    Relationship and Couple Therapy

Whether you are married or in partnership, heterosexual or gay, when you struggle in your relationship, Couple Therapy can help you explore the nature of your problem.

Couple Therapy can give you the skills and strategies to recognize and resolve conflicts in your relationship. The problem may be of an emotional, psychological, physical, cultural or sexual nature.

With the help of a qualified professional, Couple Therapy provides a safe and supportive environment which facilitates communication, mediation and growth for the benefit and healing of your Relationship.

Trained in the Transpersonal Model I offer couple therapy to individual couples or for groups interested to work on their Relationships and improve them. I often help people caught up in dysfunctional relationships due to a partner suffering from any form of addiction and alcoholism.
